Maria is originally from Spain. She finished her Bachelor’s degree in Information Science & Data Base Management at the University of Barcelona in 2018. After finishing these studies, she realized that she was more passionate and more interested in other areas such as sports, health, and wellness. This passion for sports had led her to study something related to the sports-health field and Massage Therapy seemed the right fit. She graduated as a Massage Therapist from a 2-year, 2200-h program at Lethbridge College.
Style of Massage
Maria takes a special interest in working with athletes and active individuals of all disciplines.
What do you do when you aren’t massaging?
You will always find me enjoying life either swimming, biking, running, skiing, or surfing with some good friends. I can never have enough of this! Sports and discipline are key things to my mental and physical health!
I also love to spend quiet time between books with a warm cup of coffee.
What made you decide to become a massage therapist?
I am very grateful to have a healthy body that allows me to practice sports every day and because of that, I find it highly interesting to know how the human body works, and how can we improve the quality of people’s lives through different massage techniques, and how can we help the body to recover better after injuries or help improve someone’s athletic performance.
I guess my background in sports and wanting to help people naturally guided me to study and work as a massage therapist.
