Gillian completed the 2300 hour program at the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa, where she won the Executive Director’s Award for Academic Excellence in 2016. She also has a BA in Psychology from Laurentian University.
A resident of Canmore since 2017, her massage experience at the Willow Stream Spa allows her to take a holistic view of the needs of each client, and to develop an approach to deep therapeutic massage while at the same time encouraging deep relaxation. She specializes in orthopedic massage for joint dysfunction, particularly of the hips and shoulders. Gillian is experienced with massage for all ages, including seniors. She is especially delighted to introduce massage therapy to first-timers.

What do you do when you’re not massaging?
The usual array of outdoor activities available in the Bow Valley, especially snowboarding and hiking with the Labradoodle. Also improving home brewing techniques and enjoying the results.
What made you decide to become a massage therapist?
Gillian loves the infinite variety of working with people and being able to use her personal and physical touch to help their well-being.
