A Naturopath will provide an initial assessment of roughly 90 minutes. They’ll make treatment and follow-up care plans that aim to get the patient back to a healthy, functional and homeostatic state within the first 3 months.
Here are two scenarios and how they might be addressed by a Naturopath:
- Patient #1 is a student who studies with poor posture, poor hydration, and carries stress in their trap muscles. Treatment would likely include postural changes, nutritional adjustments, stress management strategies and some physical medicine (acupuncture or massage) to improve their symptoms.
- Patient #2 has a poor diet and resulting digestive issues. They report headaches, and it’s likely related to inflammation in their gut that flares with certain foods. Treatment would likely include nutritional support and herbal medicine & supplements to address the gut inflammation.
