Jasmine
RMT, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release & Trigger Point Therapy
Jasmine was born and raised in the Bow Valley and is fortunate to still call Canmore home. At a young age, she was introduced to an adventurous mountain lifestyle and developed a love of active outdoor living. Her interest in health and movement led her to study Kinesiology, become a personal trainer and work as a guide for an active travel company. She then went on to complete her 2200-hour remedial massage therapy program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy. The intensive program focused on Swedish, remedial, therapeutic, and deep tissue massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and treatment techniques for special conditions. Jasmine is passionate about working with individuals to help their bodies return to a healthy, optimally functioning state.
Style of Massage
Jasmine combines therapeutic techniques, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Therapy with relaxation work to create a balanced treatment that is customized to each client. She enjoys empowering her clients by educating and involving them in the treatment. An assessment based approach focused on posture and alignment can be included if desired.
When not Massaging
You can find me soaking up the fresh mountain air on a bike (preferably mountain), by foot (hiking and running), or on skis, spending time with family and friends and having the occasional spontaneous dance party.
What made you want to be a therapist?
The ability to help people heal using my own hands is what made me want to become a massage therapist. Massage Therapy has helped me many times to recover from sports related injuries, de-stress and reconnect to my body. The benefits of massage are invaluable and I wanted to be able to share this with others.
