Megal Priel
Student Massage Therapist
After completing my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the U of S in 2015, I caught the travel bug and traveled around the world living and working in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, while exploring Asia and Europe between my moves. I met the most amazing people and realized I wanted to move back to Canada to live in the mountains and have a more adventurous life in my home country. Born and raised in Saskatoon, I moved to the Bow Valley in 2020 and fell in love with the mountains. Since living here, I’ve met so many incredible practitioners in a variety of modalities and every conversation I had with them inspired me to apply for Massage Therapy school. I’m looking forward to being able to help clients reach their goals and work alongside an incredible team to make that happen.
Style of Massage
I like to describe my style as a blend of therapeutic and relaxation techniques. I’m looking forward to learning new techniques as a student and being able to apply them to achieve the best result for each client.
What do you do when you aren’t massaging?
While I’m not working or studying, I enjoy day hikes, backcountry hiking, and camping, with the occasional climb thrown in the mix. When the snow falls I enjoy sliding down the slopes on two planks (aka skiing) and I’m always planning some sort of travel adventure!
What made you decide to become a massage therapist?
I know it’s cheesy, but honestly I really want to help people be the best version of themselves. I’ve been so lucky to meet some absolutely incredible and inspiring practitioners all around the world, and knowing how much they have helped me in both mind and body, I want to be able to offer that same care to others. I love that there are so many different specialties within massage therapy that the education is never ending and there’s always an opportunity to challenge yourself and think outside the box.
