CUPPING

Cupping is an ancient medical treatment that has long been practiced widely throughout the world including Asia, Egypt, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Cups in varying sizes and material are placed on the body via the traditional fire method and/or more modern methods. The suction of the cups draws blood to the surface to improve blood circulation to muscles and tissues and supplies oxygen to cells to promote healing and provide pain management. It loosens knots, can promote the release and draining of toxins and excess fluid, as well as activate the immune system.

We provide cupping treatments in both our Banff and Canmore locations. Cupping treatments can be combined with either massage therapy or with an acupuncture treatments.  Acupuncturists use the traditional style of cupping using fire cupping which is the strongest method of cupping. Massage therapists either use fire cupping, silicone cupping or pump cupping. All cupping treatments can be direct billed through your insurance company.  We can direct bill for Great West Life, Manulife, Sunlife, Green Shield, Blue Cross, ASEBP, Industrial Alliance, Chamber of Commerce and more.
