What’s it like to be a Back At It Ambassador?
Back At It’s Athlete Ambassador Sara Poidevin answered the following questions:
HOW HAS IT BEEN TO BE A BACK AT IT AMBASSADOR AND HOW HAS IT HELPED YOU?
I’ve really loved being a Back At It ambassador – the other ambassadors are awesome people and it’s inspiring to hear their stories and follow their adventures and preparations through the year. My family has known Vanessa for a long time, as she worked with my dad in his early days of mountain bike racing, so it’s really cool to see how her business has grown and to promote it to the community I grew up in. I really appreciate the range of services offered at the clinics, and I think it’s great to promote a business that focuses on multiple areas of health and well-being.
Being an ambassador has helped me to access services that genuinely support my recovery from training and racing through the year. It’s always a huge help when some of the financial pressure of receiving treatment is relieved. Working with professionals who are knowledgeable in sport-specific treatment is super valuable, too.
DID YOU FIND YOUR TREATMENTS TO BE HELPFUL?
I accessed massage and naturopathy services and both were very valuable. Having regular treatment is really helpful in being able to train well and consistently through a season, and to recover from the toll of racing and travel.
WHAT KIND OF INJURIES DID YOU HAVE (IF ANY)?
I was fortunate not to have injuries in the last year, but daily training plus racing and travel takes a significant toll on the body and requires consistent maintenance work!
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO MENTION?
Thank you so much for having me as an ambassador! I really appreciate the support.
