What to do now?
So we’ve had our first snow fall and wow there are so many posts about it on Facebook! So the question now is what should I do before the ski hill opens….
I’ve been fighting those yawns like that fat elf, and fighting the urge to go back to bed. Its hard, its dark out in the morning and in the evening.
I’ve noticed an increase in the number of people coming to the crossfit gym that I work out at. So I guess my first suggestion is Go to the Gym
2. Take a spin class
Maybe its time to start, restart, try again, or continue. I am always hit and miss with yoga. I can’t seem to get into it, but I’m gonna give it another shot and find the class that’s right for me. There are so many yoga studios in Canmore and so many classes to try such as; Ashtanga, Fow, Yin, Yin Yang, Yoga Jam, Hot Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Kundalini, and I am sure I’m missing a few more.
Have you ever tried it? I think it is the biggest Mind F@*k Seriously, if you try it you’ll see what I mean. It takes the most concentration to try to activate this but not that. Move the cage out but not fall off.
5. Go for a hike in the snow: The snow is so minimal now and going for a hike in it is so refreshing. A friend of mine introduced me to Wind Ridge. We biked from our houses in Cougar Creek to 3 sisters and then stashed our bikes in the woods and hiked up the ridge. What a beauty and such an easy place to get to from your house. Round trip it took us around 3 hours.
6. Check out some music
Communitea hosts some talented musicians
such as Current Swell
Banff Centre has its film fest on now. Music, dance and book festival.
7. Take your dog for a walk, or my dog for a walk, or your friends dog for a walk
