Peggy’s Next Chapter: From Massage to Osteopathy
I’m excited to share a big step in my professional journey. After four years of full‑time study and clinical osteopathic training, I will be graduating in March and transitioning my practice from massage therapy to osteopathy. While I don’t have an exact start date yet, I expect to be offering osteopathic appointments only around late April to early May.
Why I made the change Over the years I’ve loved working with clients through massage therapy. As my training progressed, I became increasingly drawn to osteopathy’s broader, whole‑body approach, the way structure and function are considered together and how gentle, targeted hands‑on care can support long‑term mobility and resilience. This felt like the natural next step for me: a chance to deepen how I help people move, feel and function.
What osteopathy will look like Osteopathy is a hands‑on, holistic model. In practice that means:
- Thorough assessments to understand how your body is moving and working as a whole.
- Gentle manual techniques and movement work aimed at improving mobility, supporting circulation and nervous system function, and enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal and self‑regulate.
- Treatments performed fully clothed, with movement assessment and hands‑on techniques in different positions — so comfortable, flexible clothing (athletic or loose‑fitting) is best.
Practical details
- I’ll continue to offer direct billing for most insurance plans to keep the transition simple for you.
- Exact booking and scheduling details will be shared as we approach the changeover.
You’re in great hands I’m also delighted to be working alongside our wonderful osteopath Breigh. Together, we’ll provide continuity of care and more options for appointments so you can keep getting the care you need.
Thank you Thank you so much for your support, patience, and trust while I completed my studies. It has been an honor to care for you through massage therapy, and I’m genuinely excited to continue supporting your health from this broader clinical perspective.
If you have questions about osteopathy, insurance coverage, or what to wear to your session, please get in touch — I’m happy to help.
Warmly,
Peggy
